I have been thinking a lot about honesty in writing.
Often the authors that I am most drawn to are the ones who are
vulnerable, honest and real with their words.
It is sometimes scary for me to think about putting down
my most real thoughts in a place other than my journal.
But if I am drawn to the realism found in another writer's
courage, then what am I afraid of?
The point is not to worry about what others think,
but to share what you think and feel.
Writing is my hiding place and where
I dig my heels into right before taking flight.
A place where I can be hidden, permanently
exposed in black and white.
