Last night husband surprised me with me a screening of the movie
"The Cool School" at my favorite art gallery in the District.
The film is about the LA abstract art scene in the 1950s - specifically about
the birth of the Ferus gallery
[which happens to be one of the places where Andy Warhol got his start]

We tip-toed out of the film a few minutes early and wandered through the
magically empty halls of the accompanying abstract exhibit upstairs.
We went to one of my favorite restaurants (Tryst) in Adams Morgan afterward...
the best garden burger and nachos I've ever had.
