yesterday.

"But life at its best is a creative synthesis of opposites in fruitful harmony."
— Martin Luther King Jr.
What do you do the day after the earth quakes and 72 hours before a hurricane hits?
You make the most of the beautiful weather in between.
-----------
We loaded up Audrey and headed downtown. First stop, Shake Shack.
We ate outside and just talked for awhile.
Then we headed for the tidal basin and walked through the FDR memorial
to the new Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial.
The breeze was so lovely and the air felt so good in my lungs.
Now we are stocking up on bottles of water, flashlights and batteries.
Ready for another adventure.

So jealous (both of your being so gorgeous and the day that you had).

Maybe we should have a hurricane party this weekend...you know..enjoy some non-perishable food items and rechargable flashlights together. Ha.

How was the Martin Luther King Memorial!? I am dying to see it! Another reason to come back for a visit---just not this weekend :) Stay safe!

We should! Plus, I am thinking we should go ahead and "save" the ice cream in our freezer in case the power goes out and it melts...

We really liked the memorial. Especially the quotes...and the location is really pretty right on the tidal basin. I would love for you guys to come back and visit soon! Once the hurricanes and earthquakes clear out :)
