The District Sleeps in White

Saturday morning I woke up to a white sheet covering the city
I have to admit that I was skeptical of the exaggerating local news anchors who had been
literally freaking out over this storm
but it turned out to be pretty legit...the biggest storm in history.

Two-Three feet of snow fell in less than 24 hours!
Rob helped dig my car out and we drove around the city
taking pictures. It was so peaceful and so beautiful. There were
tons of people out walking through the streets, sleds and cross-country skis in hand
- even a five hour snow ball fight in Dupont Circle!

The metro still isnt running above ground
and the federal government is closed again today...
I am starting to get sick of the white slush, but loving the day off of work.
