"November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.
With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.
The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring."

There was frost on the ground this morning, which is quite fitting for the first day of November. This month is one of my very favorites - first, its birthday month which both my dad and I can claim as ours. Its the month in which I drag out my gray puffy coat and cups of hot chocolate become my daily afternoon treat at work. Thanksgiving gathers friends, family and food and the countdown to Christmas can actually begin.
Its a wonderful time of year. But I am especially thankful for it this year.
