Our Fourth: ticker-tape | in our red, white and blue | a sleeping Lyla Bird | the old state house where they read the Declaration of Independence | my handsome husband and our funny little bird
It was Lyla Bird's first Fourth of July and our first Fourth as a family in Boston. It was doubly exciting for Bird and I since we got to spend more than our usual amount of limited time with our hardworking daddy/husband. We were over the moon!!
We went to the Boston Pop's rehearsal concert on the third and then headed downtown on the fourth. There was so much going on in this historic city that I managed to only miss being in DC on the fourth a little.
We ended the night with a BBQ outside on our sweet friend's porch. I'm not a fan of the Fourth of July landing on a Wednesday, but we had a good time and the upside is that tomorrow is already Friday.
Hope you had a good Fourth of July wherever you were!
PS. Our tiny apartment has somehow eaten our camera battery charger...so until it resurfaces, we are having to rely on our iPhones to take pictures : ( A sign of just how much cleaning our apartment desperately needs...
