"Believing takes practice."
— Madeleine L'Engle, A Wrinkle in Time
The quiet methodical placement of one foot in front of the other is so healing.
It forces your mind to keep on moving and your heart to steady its beating. Soon,
it takes less effort to remember to step.. and before you know it you're whole city blocks ahead.
And I highly recommend walking in twos...
One of the first things Mr. D ever said to me was that he liked how I walked - normally
he has to slow down to keep up with others...be we,
we just naturally walk to the same rhythm.
I'm so thankful for our almost daily walks together with Lucy...
eyeing houses and dreaming things and always so thankful to end up back home -
the three of us.
